[ooc: Set in the afternoon, after the conversation in a previous thread for Will. Also, I've been meaning to post in this thread for a few days. =)]
Will pushed the door and walked into the bar. He looked around the room, scanning the details into his mind, and searched. He was sure the abnormal had run in here. There didn't seem to be many people in here. An older man sat alone in one corner. His clothes would have given Will the impression on a business man, had it not been for the tear at the bottom of his jacket. The old man cradled his beer glass in both hands, as if it was going to be taken away.
A woman approached. Can I help you, Sir? she asked. Her head tilted to the left while she waited for the response.
Have you seen anyone come in here in the last few minutes? Long hair, baggy clothes, an extra head on his shoulder? Will asked, still scanning around for any sign.
The woman shook her head, No one of that description has come in here. She seemed disgusted at the thought.
I'll just hang around then, if you don't mind. Maybe have a drink. He asked making it sound like a question more than a statement. The woman muttered a response that was barely audible, and turned, heading back the way she came.
Will moved over to bar. What about you? Did you see anyone enter? He watched him down another drink as he asked the question. Might want to slow it down there, man. he added to the end before the stranger could reply to the first question.

[ooc: Whoops, sorry. Temporarily lost this thread in the site.. To change colours there's a drop down menu called 'colors'. highlight the text and choose colour. It will add colour = and / color to the end\beginning of each text]
Will raised a finger to the barkeep, pointing to the bottle on the shelf, "I'll have one.". Moving across from the far counter. Grabbing the bottle as he neared, he up ended and poured into the shot glass that he slid in front of Will. Taking up the shot Dr Zimmerman downed it quickly, and slammed it back onto the wooded counter.
"Been a while since I did that," he told the stranger as he winced at the taste of the whiskey that had burned down his throat. "I didn't mean anything by it. So what brings you to a place like this?" he continued and glanced his eyes around the bar as it began to fill with a few more people that had just entered.

' I smirk at the man after he gulped down the shot, the look on his face was someone who wasn't as experienced as me in the drinking game,i then turn to him "I'm here because I've haven't got much else going on & because this" I hold up my glass' this my only friend"

It was the end of the afternoon. A Friday. Her first week at her new job was now over, and she had frankly not expected to be this tired. She technically had the weekend off, although she had been warned by her boss that in their line of work they were always on call. You never knew who or what could bump in the night.
Jennifer sighed as she settled in a far corner of the bar. The nanny, what was her name again, Susan, was looking after her daughter. She had gotten a text earlier saying that her little angel had been picked up from school, and that Susan and Stella, that was her daughter's name, were both safely back home. Susan wouldn't leave until after serving dinner, so Jenn still had some time before having to make it back to her house.
She wasn't the type to frequent places like these. Her clothes and the way she held herself proved it. She didn't fit in the dark and somber environment of the bar. She was too classy, too rich, and thought less of the people surrounding her than she did of abnormals. Back straight, her light cocktail in one hand, her cellphone in the other, she went through her messages. Abnormal sightings, research going on. Nothing new. Yet.
Addison had told her to keep it light on her first week, which was why she was here, trying to get to know the city. Her mind though was still back at the office. She loved this job. She loved working, and this new place, SCIU, would give her the opportunity to rise even higher than never before. There was so much potential coming out of a workplace like this. She still couldn't believe half the things Greg had shown her, but they had a common goal, and that wasn't hard to believe in at all.
She took another sip of her drink, looking out the window to her right, when her cellphone beeped.
Sender: Greg Addison ABN SPOTTED in your area. Taking care of it. ZIMMERMAN at the bar. DISTRACT HIM. You're new. He doesn't know you yet.
Jennifer looked over at the bar and easily spotted the Sanctuary staff member. He was talking to some random lowly citizen, she got that from his far from tailored clothes. She guessed there was no use in interrupting a conversation. She'd keep an eye out to make sure Doctor Zimmerman didn't try to head back outside while her team was out there. But she didn't see the rush in going to him, so she once more looked at her phone, opened up her news app, and read the day's headlines, shooting glances at the bar every once in a while.

Zach finishes up the drink he currently has got & puts the glass back down on the bar. The man next to him didn't look like he was going to be leaving anytime soon, so he figured he should at least strike up some form of conversation " so what brings you here anyway, you don't look like the sort to be drowning your sorrows" .
Zach also notices a woman walk into the bar, a pretty attractive woman, he gives her a quick look up & down & whistles to himself before turning back to the man. Zach can't seem to shake off the feeling that the woman is watching them both.

"I doubt that's the case. I'm sure there's a least one friend out there," Will told the man, who had just downed another glass. In the corner of his eye he saw a woman enter. She didn't look familiar, but she was far too well dressed for a place like this. The suit she had on hinted at money. Will could see her glancing around the room, and he shifted his gaze back to the man who was downing another shot. Reaching into the inner pocket of his jacket he pulled out a business card, and placed it down on the bar with a small slide towards the man.
He lifted his finger to reveal the standard Sanctuary header on the back of the card, "Stop by the Sanctuary sometime. I'm sure we could find something for you to help out with" he told the man as he shifted the weight on his feet and began to edge away from the counter, "Would probably beat sitting around this dive, right? Anyway, I need to stay on this trail before it gets cold " He added with a quick smile trying to add some humour.
That was just lame, Will thought to himself as he moved away from the bar. It was the truth. He didn't want this abnormal to get away, who knows what may happen, but it was also starting to fill with the wrong type of crowd in the bar. He didn't want to hang around for that. he glanced at the well dressed woman again as he approached the door. 'Will you're being paranoid again. It's nothing' he thought to himself. Doing up the zip on his jacket, he opened the door, and realised it was warmer than he thought as he exited the bar.

It happened too quick, too fast. Zimmerman was out of the bar before she could even begin to get up from her bench. The man he was talking to was also still sitting, so what appeared to be an on-going conversation was probably just a momentary break for the Doctor. She couldn't let her team down. If they were discovered, she'd be discovered as well, and she couldn't let that happen.
'Stay undercover,' Addison had told her. 'For as long as you can, stay undercover. No ones needs to know you're working for us.'
Jennifer rapidly grabbed her small purse from the bench, and left her unfinished cocktail on the table. Heading straight for the door, she sent a message, telling her people that Zimmerman was out. She didn't know how relatively close to the bar the abnormal was, but the SCIU retrieval team had to be warned. Her text message sent, she pushed a few keys, and put the phone to her ear, pushing the door that lead outside.
"Oliver, I told you not to contact me," she said, whispering to her phone so as not to be overheard, but loud enough so that anyone standing around could. "Stella and I are fine. YOU," she emphasized the word, "left us, not the other way around." She paused for effect, giving the impression there was actually someone on the other end of the line. She noticed Doctor Zimmerman waiting right beside the door, but paid him no real attention as to not rise his suspicion. "No, I'm not home. I do not need your permission. I'm entitled to have a few afternoons to myself. Susan picked her up after school. She's fine." She seemed to listen to what the other person had to say and hanged up angrily, clenching her fist around her phone, as she stared at the street in front of her.
Jenn was fighting the water coming up to her eyes were when she turned to face the person she had put all of this for. "I'm sorry," she said to Will. "Would you have a kleenex or something? The wind must have sent some dust in my eye. It stings a bit too much for my liking," she offered as an explanation to her current state, acting as if he hadn't heard her conversation.

Zach picks up the card & gives it a quick look " sanctuary for all huh ? " Zach looked down at the addresses, done by the docks. " might as well go check it out, once I've finished another drink" He held up his hand to get the attention of the bar man. ( this could tie in now to the other RP I've started with Helen & Freya if you guys wanna check that one out )

[ooc= I was counting on connecting to the other thread. Had planned that part a while ago ]
Will turned to face the woman beside him as she spoke. He reached into his side pocket and pulled out the new hankerchief he had placed their this morning. Only hearing half of the conversation she had just had on her phone, he wasn't going to try and interpret the situation.
"Here," he told her, passing the small piece of cloth to her "It'sfresh. You can keep it, I have plenty more."
He noticed a small piece of red on the cloth as he held it out, and realised it was the Sanctuary logo. I don't know why I have so much stuff with that on it, he thought to himself as his mind began to consciously go through his possessions with a roll of his eyes.
"Normally I would ask what's wrong, but I am in a bit of a hurry now. Things to do, you know how it is." He added with a smile and glanced at the watch on his other wrist.

[OOC: Alright, that sounds good!]
"Thank you," she says as she takes the piece of cloth from Will, her hand lingering on his a bit to long for it to be completely appropriate. She gently taps the handkerchief around her eyes, being extremely careful not to disturb her make-up. Her appearance has always been important to her.
Zimmerman glanced at this watch, and mentions being in a hurry or he would ask her what's wrong. This makes a small corner smile appear on Jenn's face. It had always fascinated her how human beings were so fundamentally different from one another. For example, she would never have offered to listen to the complaints of a stranger. But Will does. His file at SCIU mentioned his background as a psychiatrist, so his behaviour was of no surprise to Jennifer. She had spent weeks studying the files of every Sanctuary staff member. Addison called it 'getting to know your enemy', and she couldn't agree more. "I know how it is, it's okay," she offers so that he doesn't feel bad about not helping her. And she did know. She was always in a hurry, had so many things to do. "Normally, I would tell you to go away instead of telling you what's wrong, so we're even. Don't take it personally, you're a stranger. Go. Do whatever it is you have to do. I'll be fine."
She smiled at him to prove her point, and turned to face the street, looking around for a taxi. This wasn't exactly the busiest street of New City, but a few were bound to pass by at some point. This part of town wasn't one where you wanted to linger in when it was getting late, and as Jennifer didn't fit with the crowd, it made sense for her to look around for a taxi. She could always come back tomorrow to get her car.

[ooc= Man, I really suck at continuing threads in here. I have to get here more often.]
Will felt the woman's hand on his as she took the piece of cloth to wipe her eyes. A brief pause between them caused their hands to touch longer than he had expected. He pushed the hand into his trouser pocket, and turned his head to look away down the street quickly. The headlights of a vehicle began making it's way towards them, and he turned back to the woman. "I really have to go now." he told her again as he stepped into the roadway as he realised that the vehicle approaching was a taxi cab looking for a new fare. He threw his hand up and the taxi pulled to a stop beside him.
Leaning in the door, Will addressed the indian man sat on the beaded seat cover that was standard for most cabbies he knew, "Take her where-ever she's going," He said, and turned back to the well dressed woman as he stood back up. "Maybe I'll see you around," He added as he turned and started walking down the road; giving a wave behind him without turning around.
As he stepped away from the bar, Will pulled his cellphone from his pocket. Flipping through the numbers he found Henry, and dialled. The call connected quickly after only two rings, "Henry? Yeah, I'm headed back to the alley, but I think we lost the abnormal." An in-audible muffle came through the speaker, but Will made out what was said, "Hey, It wasn't just me. You should have tagged the damn thing when you had the shot." He paused, and looked up as he neared a corner. He followed it round. "I'll debate this later, all that matters is that Magnus isn't going to be happy that we lost the redlister"
Pulling the phone away from his ear Will pushed to end the call. A beep from the device showed the phone disconnected, and he clicked a second button to shut the display off before placing it back in his pocket.
No, Magnus won't be happy about this at all, He thought as he approached a nearby car and climbed in.
