Ilyana is a calm person with an extremely open mind. She will love you no matter who you are or what you’ve done. She rarely judges people for what they’ve done and will help them move on. She spends a lot of her time doing things that are calm and relaxing as her gift sometimes scares her. She is easily able to talk your ear off talking about her favourite book or movie. She is also more than willing to help other out with whatever they need. She adores taking some time out from her day to day life to do yoga or mediate and from time to time, she’ll bring a friend along with her to help them relax.
Ilyana stays away from what she calls the “real world” because most of it upsets her. She hates to see images of war and conflict and most of all, politics. Though she is a very calm and patient person, it is quite easy to upset her which, most of the time, leads to her becoming angry and brews up a storm. Most of the time, when she gets angry and upset, the only person who can calm her down is her girlfriend, Karyn Guinness.

• Born in a small town in England, the only child of a cop and a stay-at-home mom
• Was an excellent student in school
• The first time her father hit her was when she was eight. He also hit her mother that same day
• The first real beating came a few months later when he hit her so hard, he broke her nose.
• The abuse continued for years. Sometimes on Ilyana, sometimes on her mother. The police force didn’t help as her father was one of them and her mother kept denying the girl’s allegations. Ilyana suffered many broken and cracked bones over the years.
• After a stay in rehab, her father stopped drinking and so did the abuse, they were a happy family again.
• When she was 14, her father began drinking again. When she confronted him about it, he threw his beer bottle in her face, resulting in a sharp cut on her forehead.
• Later that month, he beat Ilyana’s mother so terribly that she had to be hospitalized, only to later slip into a coma. She would remain there for the next 2 years.
• At 16, Ilyana realized that she had a gift. Her father came home from the pub drunk as ever. He slapped her when he said she was looking at him the wrong way. She felt the anger rise in her like hot lava. Outside the storm clouds began to roll in. With every hit he placed upon her the storm got worse and worse. He ultimately pushed Ilyana into the glass coffee table. It shattered under her weight, cutting her in multiple places on her back. At that exact moment, a tornado ripped through the small town.
• Once Ilyana was released from the hospital, she moved out of her father’s house into a small apartment she paid for using the wages from a small part-time job. It was around that time that she realized that anger was what fuelled her gift. She knew she could make it rain if she was mildly irritated to causing a hurricane if she was incredibly pissed off.
• She graduated high school at 18 and then immediately moved to London. She worked as a temp for two years before realizing she needed to a stress-free life to keep her gift at bay.
• At 21, she got the news that her mother had passed away. She made the trip back home, only to learn that her father has her mother cremated before Ilyana had had a chance to say goodbye. The rainfall started that night. After a few days of asking around, she learned that her mother died from a brain injury after falling down a flight of stairs. That night, for the second time in its history, the small town was ravaged by a tornado. She vowed to never see her father again and to let him live with what he’d done.
• After the death of her mother, Ilyana used money inherited to travel the world to attend meditation and yoga retreats (her favourite spot being Bali in Indonesia). During those retreats, she has learned to control her temper and became a calm and centered person, very rarely causing rain and storms in her passage.
• Three years later, she settled in a small fishing town in Alaska, to try and stay secluded from the world. On a night of meditation, she was overcome by anger of what her father had done. She caused a massive rainstorm and accidentally flooded the town. She felt horrible for what she done and helped them re-build before she ran away.
• At 26, she settled for living a stress free life in a beach house in California, meeting Karyn Guinness in the small tea shop where she worked. The two slowly began seeing each other and eventually it developed into a relationship, resulting in Ilyana moving to New York to live with Karyn.
• She now helps Karyn when needed, teached yoga in Central Park and works part-time in a tea shop.

hello! my name is Nadia! and i'm excited to be here. i've been roleplaying for about 6 years years now. other characters on this site that belong to me are Charlie Tremblay. my time zone is ADT. and that's all you need to know about me! oh, and this is what an average post for me looks like:

The first thing I feel when I wake up this morning is the warm sun on my face. I roll over in bed and cuddle with my girlfriend…only to feel an empty bed next to me.
“Really?” I whisper to myself as I realize that she’s in her office. On a Sunday morning! I’ve been asking her so many times not to go work on Sunday mornings as I’d like to spend them in bed! What is so hard to understand in that? Our bedroom begins to darken as storm clouds move in. Struck with fear at what I’m slowly doing, I close my eyes and take a few, deep calming breaths. I fill my mind with nothing but positive thoughts and then I open one eye to peak outside. Luckily, the dark clouds are all that there is, I’ve stopped a storm from brewing. I sit up in bed and watch the dark clouds move away and the sun return, a few rays peeking through our blinds and caressing my face. I decide to make the best of a bad situation.
I work my way around the kitchen, making a breakfast feast for myself, Karyn and the guests staying over as I would usually do on weekends. I dance around the counter to the music of my iPod, humming happily to myself. As always, I prepare a great variety of options like eggs, pancakes, bacon, ham and much more. Coffee’s brewing and so is the tea. I quickly set the table for the guests before making a tray to bring to Karyn in her office. Yes, it’s a hectic life here but I love it. I love her.
