personality: Charlotte, or Charlie as she has people call her, has a fiery temper. Though she can be patient, it tends not to last very long. She the kind of person that will tell you exactly what she thinks of you whether to ask or not. She is a trusting person but being so has gotten her hurt too many times, so she tends to be distant and avoid getting close to anyone. She’s not much of a talker and prefers computers to people, which is where her ability to keep secrets comes from. She’s not the friendliest of person but if she grows to trust you, she’s the best and most loyal friend you’ll ever have.
Charlie is a dedicated worker who spends most of her time with her face in a computer, exercising her skills as a hacker to help others. She will use her hacker skills anyway you ask…for a price, of course. She’s quite adept at yoga and she uses it to exercise patience and stretch her muscles after sitting down at her desk for long stretches of time.
She hates a quiet room and silence, which is why she always has music playing in her computer lab or on her iPod. Since her music is very loud, it’s usually quite hard to distract her, making her a very dedicated worker. She stays away from any social scene unless it absolutely requires her to be there. She has no friends except the people she works with, no relationship or family of any kind.

history:

• Born the youngest of 4 children, has 3brothers
• Kicked out of her parents’ house when she was 13, for being too much of a trouble maker and went to live with her grandparents in Ontario.
• Never contacted her parents or siblings again.
• Graduated high school and went to University of Ottawa for 4 years (English major)
• In her second year at University, she didn’t see a woman crossing the road and hit her with her car. Scared of the charges, she drove off and later found out that the woman had died. She never told anyone which is why she began drinking.
• Moved to the US after she graduated University, backpacking across the country for 5 years.
• At 26, she settled in San Diego and began working for an IT firm, leaning about computers.
• Did her first hack that same year, hacking her boyfriend/co-workers email to find out if he was cheating (he wasn’t).
• Began hacking more seriously later that year and at 27, she managed to hack into a Canadian government website to find information on her parents.
• At 29, she found out her boyfriend of two years was, in fact, cheating on her. Pissed off, she hacked into the FBI’s website though his IP address and got him arrested and sent to prison.
• Realized she had a drinking problem and went to rehab when she was 31.
• Transferred to her office’s New York office where she kept working in IT, doing some freelance hacking for various organizations and people. She was also exposing political scandals.
• Met Karyn Guiness at a conference they were both attending. Karyn knew of Charlie’s hacking skills and invited her to visit the Sanctuary.
• Hired by the Sanctuary at 32 and has been working for them, and them only, since then.

hello! my name is Nadia! and i'm excited to be here. i've been roleplaying for about 6 years now. other characters on this site that belong to me are none. my time zone is ADT. and that's all you need to know about me! oh, and this is what an average post for me looks like:

Charlie walked into the computer lab far too early for her taste that morning. She flicks on the lights and sees what her “office” holds.
“Hello my pretties.” She says at the six monitors that make up her work space. She flicks on each individual computer brains and smiles as the familiar ‘wurr’ of the machines fill the room. Each of the monitors comes to life. She quickly logs in and checks for new messages. She sets up the various monitors for what she needs. The two monitors on her left monitor world and New York news and security for abnormal sightings, the other two top monitors allows her to keep an eye on the Sanctuary’s security system and abnormal enclosures, while the last two monitors are for personal use (emails, hacking, etc). She quickly stretches her back, cursing her age, and sits down. Since she’s working alone for now, she puts some music on (an odd mix of different genres) and puts it as loud as it can go. Charlie is busy typing up an inventory to send to the Old City Sanctuary when she New York monitor begins beeping. She turns her attention to it and notices what’s wrong. A huge snake-like abnormal is slithering around in the Subway tunnels and is quickly approaching a busy, early morning station.
“Oh shit, this is not good! Not good!” She swears silently. She shuts off the music and picks up her phone and reported the incident to Karyn and make sure a containment team is sent to the location. She helped guide the team and then made sure to cover up the incident on the internet, hacking into the city cameras and new sites to keep it out of the public eye.
It took Charlie all of two hours to clear up the speculation floating around about what exactly was in the tunnels that day. Keeping a close eye on all the conspiracy theory and cover-ups sites takes a lot of work but she loves it. She keeps a close eye on the monitoring websites as she continues to do her day-to-day work. By the end of the day, she gives a call to her boss to let her know that everything’s quiet and gets the ok to go home. She shuts everything down and heads out to door.


MUST BE BASED ON YOUR CHARACTER, ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAN ON PLAYING A CANON CHARACTER. If you ARE playing a canon, please make sure you have some dialogue in there so I am aware on not only your level of role-playing, but more-so how WELL you can play them. This is crucial to the site, and if you cannot grasp that character, then I may pass that character to someone else. I'm not overly strict about this, but I would rather take that character out of play, then have someone unable to do the character justice.

Just one thing that I need to address. Would you mind clarifying her ability? Did you want her to be a Technopath (to be ab,e manipulate/understand technology)? Just need this tiny bit of info, before I accept you =)
