Sparkles
Sparkles is joining us from Praxis. This months old abnormal doesn’t celebrate its birthday. It is usually very friendly, curious, child-like and is really quite good at acrobatics[/blockquote][/center]
.......
Welcome to TERRA SANCTUM.
full name: doesn’t have one (yet)
celeb face: Laura Bertram
gender: appears female but is really genderless
species: unknown abnormal
ability/abnormality: genetic memory although it is difficult to access at times, an agile tail, can see in the dark, can manipulate most kinds of energy although this power doesn’t manifest until later, who knows what other powers this creature could manifest in time?
occupation: none
age: new-born, but physically matures quickly and has a partially damaged genetic memory
secrets: oh, Sparkles is rather innocent although some genetic memories are disturbing. One incarnation was a cold-blooded killer. Another endured unrequited love. Sparkles has countless secrets from countless lifetimes.
likes: sunshine, rain, a gentle breeze, all living things, playing
dislikes: fire, mechanical things, small spaces, eating meat, grown up things
strengths: agility, genetic memory (ish), optimism
weaknesses: childlike nature, excessive curiosity, easily bored
personality:Sparkles remembers lots of lives, having numerous personalities in the past. However, as soon as Sparkles remembered how to speak it was always rambling about something or other, trying to figure out who it is.
Despite being betrayed in past lives, Sparkles is trusting to a fault. It loves to play, and everything is a game to it. Sparkles is very optimistic and quite the extrovert, yet it knows when to blend in.
Journey:This may not be its History, as it may play out in the present.
When Hollow Earth was destroyed, Sparkles’ egg was cracked. This delayed hatching time, and also did some damage to memory recall. When the creature did hatch, it was all red tail and flailing limbs and a hungry mouth, with no one to feed it.
It was brought to the Sanctuary as a baby, but even the Praxian refugees didn’t know how to take care of it. There were special caretakers, who spent centuries guarding the egg and studying its content, only to die in the destruction of Hollow Earth, days before it was hatched.
Sparkles was fading fast until it was found in the Sanctuary garden, looking like a blue toddler, drinking the water from the fountain and eating soil. It became apparent that there’s a little bit of fauna mixed in with whatever creature Sparkles is.
Within a few weeks, Sparkles was evolved into what looked like a purple adult, but was still mute. It had figured out how to walk though, and enjoyed swinging from the roof, using its tail to grab onto the beams.
As soon as Sparkles could talk, it was talking to everybody. Sparkles was always the first to offer its opinion on any subject matter. It even talked to the plants.
As fun as the Sanctuary was, Sparkles wanted to go and explore the world. Sparkles always was very good at playing hide and seek. The Sanctuary isn’t meant to be a prison, so after promising the keep a low profile, Sparkles now roams the world, but still keeps in touch with all the awesome people it met during its time at the Sanctuary.

Hello! My name is Maria and I'm excited to be here. I've been roleplaying for about 2 years now. other characters on this site that belong to me are Henry Foss and Dr. Aaron Shutt. My time zone is GMT UK and that's all you need to know about me! Oh, and this is what an average post for me looks like:
* * * Sparkles was bored. It had already gone for a swim, although the chlorine in the water hurt its pores. It had already eaten way too much soil, but Sparkles burned off the calories running around the Sanctuary, leaping from bookcases and crawling through ducts.
It wanted someone to play with! Helen was busy managing the Sanctuary system, the Big Foot guy was busy cleaning, Will was busy doing paperwork, Kate was busy working out, Henry was busy shocking himself with stupid technology, even TwoFace was busy arguing with himself.
Sparkles tried cleaning, it was nice when the metal work was all shiny, but soon its attention started to wane. It wandered out to the garden. Even though it was night time, the fresh air felt good against its skin, and Sparkles breathed it in.
Sparkles looked up at the crescent moon and the bright stars. In all its lifetimes, it had never seen the stars before. So beautiful. It was a thrill, learning something new. The surface world was new.
English was a new language, and Sparkles had mastered that now, both written and spoken. It had been a challenge, but it had had a good teacher. Still, Sparkles had a nagging feeling that it had outgrown school, and was ready for more.
Sparkles took out its diary and the fountain pen it kept in a special pouch on its belt. The stars were bright, but the sky was dark. Still, Sparkles could see clearly though. Feeling in an unusually succinct mood, all it wrote was: “it’s time for a change.”
