history:Kate was born in Mumbai, and raised in Chicago. Her father was a lock pick who was killed by a bomb, planted by Jimmy, when he wanted to sell out his gang to the police. Kate was eight at the time, and witnessed the explosion with her mother, who went into labor and gave birth to a son, Thad. The family eventually left Chicago and traveled around until Kate's mother decided to return to her native Mumbai and Kate moved to Montreal.
Kate worked as a freelance operative for the Cabal for several years, having some close contact with their chief of operations, Dana Whitcomb. Eventually, she was hired to assist in the abduction of Martin Wood, one of the orphans who had been genetically "cleaned" as part of Project Montana.

It as like it had never happened. She walked away and it was all gone. Kate Freelander had done it again but this time it was different. Something got away and for old times sake she had to go and find out where it had gone, she may even get a bit more cash. Who knows.
As she followed the long line of slime left by the baby Stenopelhabilis, she began to think about what she had actually done. I mean, these 'Sanctuary' people had helped her with the injuries that been given to her by the Cabal. It was evident that she wouldn't be dealing with them ever again. That's for sure. As she looked up she saw something that was hopping wouldn't happen..
A hole in the wall, in which light was shining into through and into Kate's eyes.
"Oh no..." Kate said to herself, silently, "I may need a little help with this one.."
