After Helen had left the lab with Michael, Ingrid thought it best to check-in with Karyn. That in itself had taken a couple of hours just to go over reports and figure out where to house what in their own Sanctuary. When she checked the clock after signing off she decided it was time to make her way to Helen's office so they could discuss whatever needed to be discussed.
Making sure Alto was still asleep in his temporary containment she made her way to the upper levels. She would have to meet with Henry afterwards, it seemed. Hopefully he wouldn't be too busy once she got the chance. Ingrid stuffed her hands into the pockets of her lab coat when the elevator doors opened and continued on down the hallway.
She would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous at that moment. It was purely assumption, but she suspected the issue of being two months late for her scans would be brought up. But it was purely speculation. For all Ingrid knew, Magnus just wanted to catch up. A sigh escaped her lips once she arrived in front of the cracked door leading into Magnus' office. She knocked on the door frame a few times and pushed the door open, not waiting for a reply.

+ + + + + + Helen was exhausted.
She had not slept for over 42 hours, due to the fact that the Abnormal invasion from Praxis was growing worse by the hour. The camps were getting out of hand, and people were dying. But regrettably, that was not her first priority. Her priority was to find and stop Adam Worth before matters get much worse. He was the reason all this was happening. He was the reason why so many innocent people have lost their lives. He had to be stopped, at all costs.
And here Helen Magnus was stuck in her office, trying to locate any spike in residual energy that may point the direction to Adam Worth. But things were not looking promising. She had been monitoring the exit point of the Abnormals whom had escaped from Hollow Earth not long before. But since the initial outbreak, more were flooding through to the surface. More problems were arising. At this point, there was a lot of activity around the border of Pakistan and central Vietnam that needed her immediate attention. She had already send notice to the Chinese Sanctuary to be on standby, since they were the closest. Right now, Helen could not afford to leave her own Sanctuary just yet.
Her sixth cup of tea in the past hour was growing cold beside her, as mountains of paperwork and folders lay scattered around her desk. One computer screen displayed a set of emails, whilst the other was monitoring the activities of Pakistan and Vietnam. The final screen showed a global map, in which it was set to detect any spike in rift energy in order to track Adam Worth. He, besides Helen, was the only person to obtain this energy since they initial encounter almost a year ago. It was the reason they both got gravely sick with radiation poisoning. And now, Helen had decided to use that residual energy as a tool for finding him.
Taking a moment to gather her thoughts, she stopped what she was doing, and blinked several times as she pinched the bridge of her nose. A small headache was appearing, and really all that she needed was sleep. Need and want were two different things, and there were far too many pressing matters than to get a good shut-eye. There was simply no rest for the wicked.
….Until when sudden knocks at the door made Helen flinch out of her daze. Bloody hell. She almost forgot she had asked Ingrid Richards to drop by her office. She looked up at the door, took a deep breath, and spoke, ”…Come in.”
When Ingrid walked through the door, she gave a sincere, yet tired smile. "Ah, Ingrid. Thank you for taking the time to come and see me." Helen motioned to the empty seat in front of her, "Take a seat."

Ingrid smiled nervously as she walked in and toward the indicated seat. She pulled her hands from her pockets, folding them over one another on her lap. Why did she suddenly feel like she was in the Principal's office? She really had nothing to worry about, though there was a lot to tell Helen...A lot she had been holding back since the Hollow Earth situation arose.
She took in a breath and let it out slowly. Even after an aspirin and a few hours Ingrid still had a headache. Luckily it wasn't as bothersome as before but, she could still feel it pulsing just behind her ears. She lifted a hand and rubbed behind her right ear, trying to ease the pulsing though quickly put her hand back down.
"You wanted to talk? She asked, smiling as though nothing were wrong.
Ingrid always was a stubborn one.

Helen’s face softened into a smile, as Ingrid made her way to sit down. It was unusual for Helen to not formally greet her guests. Granted, Ingrid was not just a guest, however Helen had been so busy with the day’s events, that she simply did not have the time for a proper greeting. Hence why Helen had asked that she’d see Ingrid as soon as she was able to.
Helen was able to reach for her tea cup, when she realised it was ice cold. Of course, she had a habit of pouring tea and leaving half of it, forgotten. She absolutely hated cold tea. She shifted her gaze back to Ingrid and gave a curt nod, ”Not to worry Ingrid. I called you to my office simply because I wanted to know how you are holding up? I’ve been so busy these last few weeks, to keep track of Sanctuary staff. Thank you for coming by. “ Helen’s expression lightened, and turned serious, ”So, how are your headaches? I apologise for not having the time to follow up your prognosis. How frequent are your visions?”
Helen always needed to know the details. The need to express her concern was always of high priority, especially to dear friends. In fact, she was always more worried about the wellbeing of others, than to worry about her own.

She returned the smile lightly then began to go over in her head all the visions she had been having. There was the two she had yesterday before boarding the plane, the one the day before, and the three the previous week. After a sigh she finally spoke up.
"Well, the headaches haven't been as bad. But my visions..." Ingrid looked down at her hands for a moment then looked back up, a worried look on her face. "I've had at least six non-contact visions this month alone."
Non-contact visions were rare for Ingrid. The most she had ever had was maybe one a month, two if it was a particularly stressful month. So needless to say, six was quite an astronomical number for Ingrid.
"Everything's fuzzy but one thing is always the same," she paused and pulled out a folded piece of paper, putting it on Magnus' desk. "I always come out of it with that phrase written down."
When Helen unfolded the paper she would see that it said: She cannot be saved. It ends where it begins.

Helen sat patiently, as Ingrid continued to describe her visions to Helen. This was not the first time she had dealt with Clairvoyants of an abnormal nature, however, Ingrid’s case seemed a lot more severe. Helen’s breath caught in her throat, as her lips pouted in concern.
”Six non-contact visions within the past month? Last time I saw you, they were reduced to three. If I recall correctly, that was almost five months ago.” Helen took in a deep breath, ”I may need to start monitoring them. I need to find out when I took the last brain scan, but as I see it, it looks like you are due for another one. ” With that, Helen reached into the drawer under her desk and pulled out a small hand-held ophthalmoscope, rose up from her desk slowly, and walked over to where Ingrid was seated. Clicking on the small light, she leaned forward and began to shine the light in both of her eyes. She took a few minutes to examine the back of the woman’s eyes, to check for any signs of vessel rupture or inflammation. Helen squinted through the lenses, trying to get a grasp of what she may find. Giving a small sigh, she sat back up and leaned against her desk.
”It’s difficult to tell what may be causing the frequencies in visions, but from what I can see, there is slight inflammation of the optic nerve, which is affecting the optic chiasm. As you know, the chiasm is the first part of the brain to receive any visual input. In any case, this helps to transmit any visual signals to the vortex cortex. What’s interesting, is that the cortex combines and processes information from what the eye can see, into sight, which in turn is relayed to the brain. Helen was in full medical-mode, as she began to explain the situation. She rose up from her position on the desk, and returned to her seat. ”In which case, I gather that as you age, your cortex seems to adjust and somewhat, alter itself. So in other words, that is what may be affecting your visions. I’d obviously know more with a full brain scan, but I need to look into modifying its function. Everyone is born with it, but yours seems to be fully active, and highly sensitive.”
Helen was quite used to giving lectures, and she was known to drone on at times. But she knew what she was doing, and wanted to help Ingrid in all possible ways. As soon as she finished her diagnosis, Ingrid handed a small piece of paper to her. Glancing at Ingrid with a curious expression, she took the paper and slowly unfolded it to reveal a phrase.
’She cannot be saved. It ends where it begins.’
Helen frowned, ”That is rather odd. I wonder what it means? Can you recall any images? Symbols, perhaps? Are all these visions the same, or do they differ?”

Her eyes never blinked as Magnus examined her. It wasn't a surprise to her when she was told their was inflammation. It was something she herself suspected for a while. Though it wasn't something she wanted to face.
"That would explain the pain behind my eyes when I do have headaches," She commented as she blinked away the light spots.
Ingrid sat back and looked up at Helen. She chewed on her lip lightly, trying to remember the things she saw but it was like looking through fogged glass. There were colored silhouettes and noise, but nothing concrete. When she closed her eyes though and concentrated things slowly because clearer.
"I see a little girl, a very sick little girl. Her name is..." Ingrid scrunched up her face as she tried to get the name. The voices were getting jumbled again. "Imogen! Yes, that's her name."
She opened her eyes and looked back up to Helen, blinking a few times. There was something that had been bothering her since she had started having the series of visions. Something that she couldn't explain. She frowned slightly, wondering if Helen could piece it together.
"There was something else, also. Adam Worth was in my visions," Her frown turned into a thought look. "Two of him, actually. Though maybe that can be attributed to his split personality. And...you. You were there."
Ingrid would leave it there for the moment. It was a lot of information. Information she herself didn't quite understand just yet, but she had a feeling she soon would.

Helen nodded, ”Your neuro-patterns could have changed within the last few months, especially with every vision. It will need to be monitored more regularly.”
Helen raised her chin, as she listened inventively to every work spoken by Ingrid. It was crucial that she would take in this new information, if they were ever to get to the bottom of it. She would make sure to help in any way that she can. But she could tell Ingrid was trying her best to recall some of her visions. Even a crucial tidbit would help in their case, since they needed more than an odd phrase to go along with. Helen watched, as she tried to remember. Anything.
Then a name was brought to her attention. Imogen. And even worse…..Adam Worth. A breath got caught her in throat, and she blinked away her recollections of the man. She and Adam had shared quite the history, and neither of it was fine and dandy. Adam was not the man one should have to deal with. He was a very intelligent man, and could twist even the slightest detail. Sure, Helen was not a saint, but Adam was always the type of person to do the unthinkable. His selfish acts took form, even in modern times. And yet the man was still alive, and hidden away in order to continue his ghastly experiments. He would take many lives, just to save a single one.
Helen clenched her jaw, ”Adam Worth is not a pleasant man, nor does anything moral come out from his experiments. He destroyed Praxis, Ingrid. I will not reminisce into his past, but I’m sure you would have read my report on him. “ Helen bit her lip, ”Imogen was his daughter. She died long ago from a deadly disease, in which he blames me for.”
She paused for a moment in thought, ”Two Adam’s? I have many theories on that, however I am not ready to jump to any conclusions just yet. Though, it is quite an interesting analysis since you say that I was there as well. Perhaps it was a past vision? Maybe on some level, you are able to gather images from a person’s past. It’s possible.”

Ingrid ran her tongue along her lips as she thought about Helen's words before shaking her head. She had indeed read the report on Adam Worth and actually got sick to her stomach a couple times reading about the things he had done. But she couldn't shake the feeling that what she saw was something else...something more.
She leaned forward, elbows on her knees and chin resting on her fists. Her blue eyes were full of though, trying to piece together everything. But, there was something missing. Something...
Her eyes cut up to Magnus before she sat back up. Maybe if she forced a vision it would yield some answers. But...
"You're right, it is possible," she said as she reached out toward Helen's wrist. "But there's only one way to find out...And I'm so sorry." And with that she took hold of Helen's wrist, grasping on so she couldn't pull away. She hated to her core that she was doing this but it was the only way to get answers.
It happened fairly easy, easier than Ingrid had thought. The color in her bright blue eyes began to dull and turn milky white. She gasped as the visions began to take over. Images flashed in her mind, so so many visions. She lost her balance on the chair and fell to her knees on the floor in front of Helen.
"Past, present and future converge. The one that is two shall try to bring the child back, but the guardian of us all will face him in the black." She said, her voice an audible whisper.
It was then that she pulled away and her eyes returned to their normal blue. Though they were wide and full of fear. She gasped again, trying to get her breathing regular as she went on her hands and knees.
"I'm so sorry..." she finally said after a moment, lifting her head up to look at Helen.

Before Helen had the chance to say anything more, Ingrid grabbed her wrist like an iron vice. It caught Helen off-guard, yet first she thought she was going insane. Unlikely, but it wasn’t the first time that had happened, but still. She could feel the woman’s hand constricting on her own, as Ingrid slipped into a very ethereal trance. The woman’s icy blue eyes moulded into milky whites, as a visual hit her with full force.
In a sense, Helen did not blame her sense of curiosity. Hell, if Helen had that ability she would most likely have done the same. Helen watched closely as Ingrid briefly lost all humanity. It was a very odd thing to witness, because although this was Ingrid, it no longer seemed like her. Then Ingrid began to speak, and it came out in all but a hoarse whisper.
"Past, present and future converge. The one that is two shall try to bring the child back, but the guardian of us all will face him in the black.”
Then suddenly, Ingrid pulled away and Helen retracted her hand as she stared at her with a look of shock. She rubbed the spot where the other woman’s hands had took a strong grip, and then she sat back in her chair still in awe and surprise at what just happened.
Helen shook her head, trying to process those strange words. She glanced at the woman with her azure blue eyes, and nodded softly, ”It’s quite alright, Ingrid. I understand your desire to fuel your curiosity. I must admit, I was curious too. I hope that vision answered a lot of questions, because it raised a lot of it on my end.” Helen rested her hands comfortably on her desk, and clasped them over the small stack of files. ”So tell me. What did you see?”
A look of concerned sweeped across Helen’s face. By the look that Ingrid gave moments after her vision, it did not seem pleasant.

Slowly Ingrid pulled herself back up and into her chair. She took a few slow breaths before looking at Helen. The synapses in her brain were slowing back down to their normal pace after the frenzy they just went through. Everything was returning to relative normal it seemed.
"A lot," she finally said. "For one, I don't believe Worth is creating a weapon...not directly anyways. I think he's trying to go back in time to cure his daughter."
It was a shocking revelation; only the first of many that Ingrid had seen. But, one thing at a time she told herself.
"I saw two of you, Helen. One blonde, one brunette. And James..." Ingrid frowned and looked down at her clasped hands. She knew how close Helen and James had been. He was a brilliant man and Ingrid only had the pleasure of meeting him just once years before he passed away.
His image had been the trigger that clued her in at what Worth was really getting at. She just hoped that they could stop him before he undid the fabrics of time and cause incomprehensible damage.

Helen nodded in though, ”That’s an interesting theory. Though in respect, time can be used as a weapon if executed correctly. However even so, one would need a vast amount of energy to create such a vortex. Whether it’s possible, is another issue entirely.”
Then Ingrid mentioned her name in the vision. Not one Helen, but two. Helen herself shook her head in disbelief. It was just not possible. She let out a soft laugh, almost in a sarcastic fashion. ”This simply cannot be possible. And to go that far back into the past? It’s absurd. I realise I have seen parallel dimensions, and alternate worlds, but time? Ingrid, it’s an impossible task. Even for a genius such Adam Worth.”
Helen then rose up again from her desk. She simply could not wrap her head around this theory. She has seen a lot of crazy experiments in her time, but time-travel itself – as ironic as that sounded – was simply out of the question. Perhaps all she needed was someone to convince her otherwise. But right now, she needed to find Adam. And quickly, before more permanent damage was done.
She walked around the table and stood beside Ingrid. ” I have a few things that I must attend to. And check up on Michael. There are places in this Sanctuary that even a child should not have to see.” She rested a reassuring hand on Ingrid’s shoulder, ”Thank you for sharing your vision with me. I must admit, it has me stumped. Perhaps I can ask Henry about the time-travel theory. But otherwise, I need more evidence to say otherwise. I shall contact you on a later, on some routine brain scans. Just so I can confirm that these visions are not causing further damage. I shall see you soon. ”
With a final nod and a soft smile, Helen clicked her heels as she exited her office.

(OOC: It's alright! No worries )
Ingrid stared at Helen for a moment with a look of utter disbelief. Sure, time travel was a hard subject to wrap ones mind around, but when she herself had seen it for herself it was just as hard for Ingrid not to believe it. Her visions never lied.
Her eyes followed Helen as she came around to her side. She listened carefully to her words. Evidence? What other evidence did she need? She saw it in her head; Adam Worth stepping through a rip in time and Helen following directly after him.
Ingrid said nothing more until Helen walked out.
"My visions have never lied..." She said softly to herself, looking down at her hands.
She sat by herself for a few moments more before getting up and exiting the office. She couldn't put off meeting with Henry any longer to find a new housing area for little Alto. Hopefully it would get her mind off what just happened.
