I would love to add a few more points in terms of rules, but since I feel this has it's own issue, I would like to make a complete thread about it. This thread just explains the types of powers that ARE NOTacceptable to site.

Now, I know Abnormals in this show are extraordinary in their own rights, but I want to point out that each one is UNIQUE. The reason why Abnormals on Sanctuary are brilliant, is because each ability and reason for being are DIFFERENT. That being said, I don't want to see loads of Abnormals with the same sets of abilities, since it would literally ruin the realism of the show. I want to stay true to it as best as I can.

Since I could write a list of hundreds of different abilities you can have, I think it's just easier to list the ones that are not acceptable. I want to see every original Abnormal UNIQUE. And preferably sticking to one ABILITY, given that you give it a valid reason for being. If you DID want more than one ability, please DM me and we can discuss it.

THE DONT'S

>> I do not want to see Abnormals with a complete set of heightened senses,
speed, agility, insane strength, all on one being. Frankly, that is
just too predictable. If all our Abnormals on the site were like that,
we'd have one very boring epidemic. Plus, that's reserved for the Elementals, because we all know how crazy John Druitt got when he was possessed by the Energy Elemental.

>> Please keep in mind that this is not a fantasy role-playing site. I don't want to see witches or sorcerers running around.

>> Want a unique character? Get creative. Advance your character a little. Give them something different. Want them to teleport? Why not allow them to be in two places at once, like a holographic double projection? Your character love to draw? Why not have their sketches come to life in some shape or form? Think outside the box, and your character would be a success.

>> NOTHING impossible. I do not want indestructability or
immortality. That feat belongs to the vampires, in which by Sanctuary standards (and as far as we, as fans, are aware), are technically extinct. Plus, Nikola Tesla is so far the last living vampire. This also mean's no half-breeds.

>> Time travel. It's possible, yes. But if your ability has anything to do with this first, let me know.

>> Not all Abnormals can live longer than usual. Just keep that in mind.

>> If you are planning on having someone with a side-ability, for the love of God, please have them relate in some way. For example, if you want an Abnormal that walks through walls, don't have him also inhabit the ability of heightened sense, because they have nothing to do with each other. Maybe, say, have him also with a thickened skin, or a shell-like exterior as a back-up mechanism if it were to fail. Just get creative, if you want your Abnormal different and more special than the rest.
