+ + + + + + + + + The sound of a pen tapping impatiently on the old oak desk, was enough to drown out the sound of a storm slowly brewing outside. Helen had been writing emails for the past hour and a half, in her attempt to send Praxian refugee containment orders to the other Sanctuaries. It had spun into madness. It got to a point where the Hollow Earth Abnormals arrived in large masses at exit points around the world, and were unable to be contained by just one Sanctuary. She had the task of allocating field agents suited for retrieval, and since her decision to shut down a few of the smaller Sanctuaries, finding people able for the task was becoming a problem. Helen could not be at all places at once, and so she tried her best to do what she could in a short amount of time.
Not only that, she had received an anonymous tip that Adam Worth may possibly, still be alive. The thought alone was enough to make her heart skip several beats. Along with the current crisis, she simply had no energy left to deal with her nemesis again. He definitely posed a huge problem at this point in time, and she did not even want to think about encountering him again. If the tip was true - She needed to start thinking if a solution before he enacts any more of his pain-inflicting master plans.
She sent off the final email to Declan at the London Sanctuary, and with a shallow breath, she leaned back in her chair and closed her azure blue eyes for a few moments. Just a few seconds rest, is all she needed to re-gather her thoughts. So much was running through her mind, so a brief chance to recuperate was all she needed. She had sent word to Will, Kate & Henry for a staff meeting, so they should be arriving in her office at any moment. Biggie was at the Fifth Ward, in an attempt to calm the mob of restless Abnormals down. If anything, he was the right person for the job.
Helen opened her eyes, as she leaned forward to pick up her tea - But with great disappointment, had found it stone cold. The delicate china must have been sitting there for a while, because she barely remembered finishing her tea. The last hour had flown by so quickly, and yet she felt like she had been siting there for hours.
Pouting her lips, she glanced towards the door waiting for one of her dear colleagues to walk through.

Kate had just finished her shower when she had gotten the call for the meeting. She hurried to get dry and dressed, not bothering with her hair for now. It could air dry during the meeting, there was no rush to do that now and she had a feeling this one had a certain urgency to it.
Once dressed, she left her room and made her way to Magnus' office, surprised to actually be the first one to arrive. She was usually late. She looked around the room just to confirm she was really the first one to be around and raised her eyebrows with a small huff. Neat.
"Wow, I'm on time for once. And even the first, must be my lucky day." She chuckled, dropping down into one of the chairs in front of the desk.
She watched Magnus for a good minute, taking in her appearance. She looked tired and sort of drained and it made her frown. She didn't like it when she wore that look. It never meant good news when she wore it so openly.
She decided to wait for the boys before asking any questions. Magnus would probably explain everything in that meeting so she would stay patient until then, giving the older woman one of her trademark smiles though.

Henry had been so caught up in his current invention that he had almost ignored the ringing of his phone, informing him that the meeting was going to take place in five minutes.
He had set up the reminder himself, certain he'd completely lost track of time and skip the staff meeting. If there was something you did not want to do, it was to skip a meeting without a damn good reason. Magnus was a cool boss but she was still the boss and she paid a great deal of attention to punctuality.
He saved his work on his computer and put down his tools, grabbing his tablet before leaving the lab.
He tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for the lift.
"Come on… I'm gonna be late." he grumbled under his breath.
The old elevator finally reached his level and he hurried in, pressing the button for the level Magnus' office was situated on.
Surprisingly, he made it there on time.
"Morning Doc, Kate." he greeted with a smile, sitting on one of the couches.

Will knew he was late. He hurried along the hallway; his shoes clicking loudly on the wooden floorboards as he walked, and finding himself wishing that Magnus had invested in some carpeting. He raised his arm and took a sip from the takeaway coffee cup in his hand as he moved; slowing momentarily as to not pour it down his chest.
Lowering the coffee he began to hear voices ahead, and realised that Henry, at least, had already arrived. He contemplated a thought in his mind of not going in and saying he was out dealing with a case. Realising Magnus' sharp hearing had probably already heard the footsteps that thought lasted only a second.
Reaching out with his non coffee hand, he pushed the--already open--door to see Henry and Kate sitting in the room. "Damn. He was late" He thought to himself as he entered. Although, he noticed Henry's position did seem to denote that he had just arrived too.
Will pushed it from his mind. "Morning." He said aloud and raised his free hand in a half wave as he moved to sit in a free chair, "Got caught up on the phone with a source about a red list shipment coming in. "Man, the guy talks a LOT" he added stressing the last bit to sound as the reason he was late. Taking another sip from the cup he settled into the chair.

One by one, each of her colleagues entered through the old wooden doors leading to her office. And each time Helen felt a an overwhelming sense of sadness. It always lingered at the corners of her mind, every time she was in the presence of her dearest friends. Whether they picked it up or not, she cares for them. A lot. Time may be altered...But it cannot be stopped.
She would always outlive them. All of them. And that left her more alone then ever. It haunted her mind at every waking moment, and then more chaos ensures and helps her remind her of that.
Once all three of them entered her office, she respectfully rose from her chair to look at each of them in the eye. She flashed a brief warming smile, then her expression turned solemn. "Greetings everyone. We have several matters to discuss this morning." Helen pursed her lips, and waited for all of them to settle, "Amongst the current chaos regarding the Fifth Ward, the hunt for the Elementals and Addison - "
Her face suddenly turned to worry, and her heart skipped several beats. Composure was unavoidable, given the mixture of emotions she was currently feeling, "I have reason to believe that Adam Worth may still be alive."

"Woah, hold on a sec there. Worth might be alive?"
Kate's eyes widened in disbelief. She had got to be joking. She tensed unconsciously, sitting up properly and straight in her chair, staring right up at her. Searching for any kind of hint that this was a really terribly placed joke, she found none.
"I've seen what Druitt left us. There's no way in hell he survived that." She added as an afterthought.
She frowned, not sure if she should be shocked about the possibility or just plain confused. Druitt had left them quite the message, a neat piece of handiwork he was probably very proud of. She had never understood why Magnus had ever kept him around but at that moment back then, she had found herself rather glad for it. Worth seemed like he was unkillable but she had had no doubt that he had been finished off back then.
She wondered what made Magnus think he might have made it out of there alive and in one piece. It worried her. He would surely come after her and act out some sort of weird revenge thing that went on for far longer than Kate had been alive.
Before she could ask the question that she was certain rested on everyone's tongue, she got beaten to the punch.

Will swallowed the sip of coffee he had just taken as Helen began to stand behind her desk. His eyes studied her face; seeing something he wasn't sure of at this moment. A quick glance to the others made him aware that no one had spotted it, and he pushed it to the back of his mind until later. He would talk with Magnus later, if needed.
"Adam Worth may still be alive"
The last part of Helen's statement hung in the back of Will's mind as Kate spoke up first; her voice showing the surprise that all of them just had in that moment. His mind raced as he tried to follow the threads of what he knew about the situation with Worth. The strands didn't connect, and he couldn't see a way that it could be possible.
He leaned over to place the cup on the table in front of him, placing it on a coaster as he knew her feelings on the coffee table. "Is there anything in particular that makes you believe that, Magnus?" he asked as he pulled his body back into sitting position on the chair. He rested his elbow on the chair, holding his chin with his hand and rubbing the stubble on his face as he thought about the possibility.

Henry didn't speak up after Magnus' confession but the surprise clearly showed on his face.
He briefly turned to Kate when she spoke up before focusing his attention on Magnus. He hadn't noticed before but now he could see the worry in her eyes and her rigid posture.
From what he had been told, Worth had met with a violent death at Druitt's hand. How could he survive something like that was beyond him but if the Doc had reasons to think Worth was still alive and kicking, then he wasn't going to be the one doubting her. He had learn over his years at the Sanctuary that the Doc was almost always right.
He kept his gaze on Magnus as he waited for her to answer Will's question, sitting up a little straighter.
