Elena was born in small town just outside of Atlanta, she grew up with her parents and younger brother, at the age of sixteen her parents were killed in a car accident leaving Elena and her brother in the custody of her aunt.
After she graduated High School she moved to London to attend Oxford University were she studied to become a computer technician, graduating within two years of starting due to her skills, she found out about the Sanctuary as she was searching the Internet for any weird and unexplained occurrences in town.
