About two hours later, blue and red lights were flashing throught the alley, throwing creepy shadows as the iron balconys were in the way. Shadows, dancing on the walls, on the trash bins and the plants, that were trying to somehow survive on the rifts between floor and walls. Two cars stood in an implied V close to the alley, as if they tried to block the entrance into it. One of the cars was a police car, labled with bright letters "OCPD". The doors were open, and the previous occupant was standing on the sidewalk, and questioning a pedestrian. The police officer was dressed all in uniform, including the fitting hat, his name sewed onto the front. 'Mahoney'. "Thank you very much, Ma'am. You have been a great help.". The lady nodded and slowly crossed the street again, reentering her restaurant on the other side of street.
Mahoney looked at his notes, then slowly walked over to the man in the black trench coat. He was wearing a police badge close to his collar, a fact that made Mahoney frown. He knew the P.I. for over a year now, and never before he had been accredited comissionary detective of the OCPD. This Devon Miles he had talked about must have been a great number, if he had such a good connection to police chief Mannion. Dr. Jasper Anvil was slowly looking around the scenery, making some strange figurines and movements with his hands from time to time, as if he was feeling something in the air. He was always doing that, claiming it got him better in touch with the surroundings. "What do you think, Jasper?" he asked, as the man turned around. The trenchcoat really fitted him, he was looking like Columbo, just in black.
Anvil drew a pen from his coat, and gestured into the alley. "Someone came down through the alley. The trash bin over there is thrown over. Maybe he stumbled. And fell down in the dust here. From the position of the dust cleaned area, I would say a child. Or a dwarf." he said then and took a camera out, making a few shots. Mahoney did not have to know the photos were just distraction, the memory of the P.I. was special enough for such scenery. Still, his assistant sometimes needed the pohotos, so Jasper always made them. "The clock on the traffic sign has stopped. But apparently at another time than the ones more far away. Like a concentric circle..." he added and then sat down on the hood of his own car. "Which leads us to the front. A car stopped over here, look at the tire profiles. Since the child now is obviously gone..." he stopped and made a grabbing motion, throwing something large away, like in a car. "Fits with the withnesses. They all saw a guy carrying a child into a car... so we most likely have a situation of hostage."
Anvil kept sitting on the hood of his car, leaning back a bit. "Devon was right. That definately fits into the series."

As soon as she landed in Old City airport, she reached out for her cellphone. It was still dark, and early this morning. But the cover of the night would be an asset for them. No one would notice the huge truck driving in the streets. Not that the abnormal she was transporting was dangerous -it wouldn't hurt a fly- but let's say it that way, his look would cause a pretty mess. They found it near the Glastonbury Abbey, wounded, probably hit by some hunter's bullet. Once brought at the Sanctuary, they took care of him, but a few days after, Magnus asked for its transfert back to Old City. So she volunteered for the trip. the creature was repulsive but beautiful at the same time. A strange mix between a cerberus and a big lizzard. Very quiet creature, peaceful though it looked like it could rip off your face in a blink of an eye.
Ever since she's working for the Sanctuary, she has seeing so many things. Some pretty awful but also some very awesome. Of course, never before had she thought it could be reel. Fairytales, rubbish, old ladies talk. But now, she only wished she could have discover all this sooner. She called the mansion, to let them know they arrived and be there in half an hour. She had always like this city since she first came here a few weeks after she started working for the network. Very diffrent as her native city, Boston. And though she has been living in England for the past two decades, she never could get rid of her accent. But all this was history, let's focuse on the present. The truck passed the huge gates of the entrance and reached after the docking station at the back of the mansion. The abnormal -not any scientific name given yet- looked all around, a bit nervous. "Don't worry, you're safe here" she said and the creature agreed. "Hello, is someone here ? Henry ? Will ? Anyone ?" A few seconds later Henry finally showed up, apologizing. They brought the new guest to its new home and went have some coffee in his lab next. And gosh, she needed one after this long flight.
Since she was not urgently needed back in London, she asked to stay for a couple of days here, of course with the agreement of Magnus and Declan. Who knows when she'd be coming back the next time. So at least she could combine work with pleasure for once. She went upstairs to put her things in the guest's room and headed straight next for the library. It was her favorite part of the Sanctuary. So many books in just one place. She took the time first to take a cup of coffee from the kitchen with her, and then started to read. It was dark again outside when she lifted her nose from the books. So many things to learn here... But she needed food now, the last thing she ate been a slice of pizza the evening before. So she went out of the library and joined Kate in the corridor. They all were eating chinese takeaways when Will's phone rang. His contact in the Old City police told him another child was abducted. After he hung up with his contact, he told Magnus the abnormal they were following struck again. Immediately Mara asked if she could go on the field. She was there the time being, it would be foolish to let her aside since it was her job as a field officer. Magnus agreed and so a few minutes after she was off with two others agents. Once they arrived at the crime scene, police was all over the place. Damn. She got out of the car. She had to find a way to get closer to the scene, but how ? Cops were everywhere, and people were gathering around now, intrigued by the lights and the rest. "Think Mara, think." she said to herself. She noticed almost all cops were trying to reassure the inhabitants, to get the people out of the way, and another was talking to someone a bit further in the distance. That was her chance. "Try to know what happened here, collect as many evidence as you could without being noticed, I'll try to see what we're up against." The two agents split up and she managed to approach the scene. Really akward all that. What abnormal would need a child, and the most bothering question in that, what was the child for ? She had already see things terrible in this job, but when it comes to children, Mara was always quite...sensitive.

Declan was down in the SHU working with Big Guy when he received a call from Will. Apparently, a child had been abducted in the Old City and Zimmerman believed that it might be the work of an Abnormal that he had been tracking for a while now. "Big guy, can you take over here? I'm going to see what I can do to help Will." Bigfoot grunted, not lifting his eyes from his delicate work. He was currently working on a treatment for a Hollow Earth Abnormal who had caught the common cold. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but the Hollow Earth Abnormals as a whole had never been exposed to this particular strain of sickness before, and that made any cold or disease potentially dangerous. Declan left Biggie to his work and walked to the elevator.
He strode into the elevator and jabbed the button labeled ground level, then stood patiently as he waited, while behind him the elevator shaft could be seen rushing past through the large grille in the elevator wall. The elevator itself was, like the rest of the Sanctuary, antique yet highly functional. He thought it ironic that he felt safer in this elevator, which was over half a century old, than in a state-of-the-art elevator in the federal buildings he sometimes visited. It wasn't that he had a fear of riding in elevators, but once during a mission, back when he was still in the British military, he had gotten stuck in an elevator while trying to take down his target. An uncomfortable position, to say the least.
The lift doors opened, and he almost ran into Will, who was on his way down to help Bigfoot with the treatment. "Do you know any more about the missing child?" Will shook his head "No, but I know that Magnus has some field agents on it, including Mara Sinclair." Mara Sinclair. She was one of his best field agents. He should have known that she would come here when she was in the neighborhood, because this particular Sanctuary had always had a certain pull on her. He knew that she would get to the bottom of the disappearance quickly and without drawing attention to herself and the Sanctuary network, a task that was easier said than done. "If that's the case, than I'll stay here and help with the treatment, and with Michael. Mara won't need my help." He stepped back into the lift, but as he waited with Zimmerman for the lift to arrive at SHU level, he had a sudden thought. He sent a quick text to Mara, asking where exactly the child had disappeared. It could be a coincidence, but if the disappearance happened in an alley near the Old City library, it was quite possible that she could actually be looking for Michael. He smiled. At least that would make for an easy case, which didn't happen very often for her.

The police did not stay long anymore. Two helpers of officer Mahoney were demontaging the clocks and loading them into the civil car, the only one which did not look like a disco on wheels, along with some other pieces of evidence in small and large plastic bags. "Remember, if you need anything, feel free to call me any time." the officer said and saluted, before shaking Jasper's hand and getting into his car. He pressed a small switch and the flashing lights went dark, leaving Anvil and his assistant in the alley, now only enlightened by the old street lights. A motor was heard roaring, and the police car drove off quickly. Jasper ran one hand over his black trenchcoat, then looked around again. He was not aware of Mary's presence yet, and therefor kept looking around the alley.
The other guy, slightly less tall and definately a few years younger, leaned against a wall, and watched him. "So we are called to investigate a place, just because a restaurant owner saw someone carry a child away? What is so special about that? Are we so much in financial trouble that we now have to do normal police work? Could have been father and son. Son collapsed, ergo and eyve." the younger man tried to conclude in the same moment he asked the question. Jasper turned around and took out a piece of chalk. "Nice theory, but wrong. There is a couple of blankets over there, some cans and an old lamp. What do you conclude form that? A primitive camp, probably of someone living on the streets. I dont think a child ran away from home could do that. You have to live on the streets for a longer time to be that organized... No, its not that. Look around, Nick. I did not want to tell Mahoney but... do you notice anything completly different around here?" he asked then, and took the time to wait until his assistant had given up. It was very important to give Nick time, he sometimes was a genius, but he still had alot to learn to be a good investigator himself. He was brilliant in noticing flaws in theories, but when it came to making his own, he was still a newby. Finally he shook his head. "There is much more going on than just blown clocks. The advertisement walls over there. Large boxes, so most likely used to be lighted, now dark. And its so dark around here because the street lamp above halfly melted. Its a wonder that it still works. And the traffic lights over there have gone mad. Why do they give green and red now to colliding streets?" he explained, always using his piece of chalk to point at things.
He made a small break and then continued in a different voice, that was darker and less excited, even a bit worried, as if he was going to go well back into the past. And he did. "Over a year ago the Foundation was phoned by a worried man who posed to have evidence on a mysterious event in a warehouse close to Old City. He claimed that a mysterious organisation had police close the case, even as two SWAT teams have had a cruel death in that warehouse. Even though Devon Miles did not believe him at first, he sent an agent to investigate the case. Thats our job. The source, N'Gulo M'Batuu was working as nightguard in the undertakers office where they brought the corpses. He handed us a blood sample with a completly unknown neurotoxin. Impossible that police had overlooked that at the autopsy... so Devon decided to give me the case." he explained then and had to make a break because he shivered slightly. The main risk with an unknown enemy was... well... it being unkmown. You had no idea what your foe was capable of. "This city and Vancouver seem to have a tendency to attract strange phenomenas like this one, but until now, the source and all the evidence were always gone. Its the first time we found a track still warm... and a theory..."
Jasper took the chalk and started to write on the wall. He made a small sketch of the position of the alley and the street, and started to write up numbers and letters. Mathematics... no, some of them were units. Physics.

The police was pretty much always a problem. Mainly because they ruined evidence, not willingly -she hoped-, not the bing ones such as a bullet, blood drops or else. But tracks, footprints...often covered by theirs. But this time, she mostly had to handle the agents. Nobody should see them, she was sure the two others were fine because she send them in the adjoining alleys. And nobody was there, and at this hour, nobody would watch that kind of dark alley. But even if the cops were gone, she had noticed two more men standing in this street. And by the look they had, she could tell they were P.I's. That would complicate her task, but it was still managable. She just had to be sure she won't be seen.
For what she had been told before leaving the Sanctuary, recently a series of similar abductions had occured lately. All involving children. She had read the text Declan send her. Not a library no, but for what she knows of the city, there was one nearby. So it couldn't really be a coincidence. That implied that it was more complicated than it seems. She pulled out her phone, trying to reach Henry, asking him if he could send her any information he had on previous abductions, so she could have hints, clues to search precisely out there. Meanwhile she stayed in the street, observing the two men. She noticed one of them was quite...not nervous, but incertain. A rookie, that was her guess. And the other was his "sensei". She looked at him more closely then. Tall, sophisticated. Handsome. She saw him drawing things on a wall then, with a chalk. Unusual, but why not ? She tried to see what he was writting when her phone vibrated in her pocket. The informations she required from Henry. She read the files, not really much tracks, but at least she knew a little bit what she was up againt. She texted him she would be back in a couple of hours and thanked him for the info. She had no more time to lost spying on them. If what she read was correct, she would be able to track the responsible of this, but alas, she needed to go in that alley, near the primitive little camp that was there. After that she could go on the abnormal tracks. She waited 'till they looked away to approach. She was nearly before the blankets when she heard a noise in her back. She put her hand on her SIG, just in case...

"But what kind of force could cause such a electric mayhem?" the uncertain but not nervous type of guy asked. Jasper Anvil stood at the brick wall and used his chalt to write on it. It was dark enough to well see the writings, and still rough enough so brushing the chalk over it rubbed off so many white particles that writing was easy. On the right side was a sketch of the alley, mainly illustrated by two lines symbolizing the walls, a small tent symbol for the blanket camp, the street and other symbols for the damaged advertisements and clocks. The map was not very spectacular, but the rest was. Anvil was writing some kind of physical formula on the wall. He made a hand sign to beckon his assistant over. "Oh, thats easy, Nick. Look..." he gestured to the formula and started writing again. "We take an unknown force F capable of manipulating electrical power, with three unknown parameters x y and z as dependant variables. We know the independant constant U, the speed of electical energy, which 0,3 millimeters per second..." he started, and immideately got interrupted by his assistant, who had a puzzled look on his face. "0,3 millimeters per second?" he asked confused, and caused a amused smile to appear on Anvil's face. "Just because the information speed is very high, that doesnt mean the electricity goes that fast. Imagine a hose filled with water. You turn on the supply, and the water shoots out on the other side, because the hose was already full... and not because the water has light speed." he explained and the assistant nodded, like a large flock of light bulbs was floating around his head.
"Thats why we can postulate that its not a force manipulating the electrons. The unknown force does not travel with information speed either, as we can figure from the clocks. Now if we put the three clocks as x, y and z, in a threedimensional space-time graph, we can analyze how fast the impulse was by triangulating it to its source first..." he added, and wrote up a seperate formula with alot of sin and cos in it, probably that was what he ment with triangulating the source. Nicholas van Holden, the young eager assistant, gazed at the writings. "Sorry doc, but..." he started, and Anvil turned his head with a very annoyed sigh. "I'm trying to concentrate..." he said then with a strained voice, but Nick did not stop. "I know you are the metaphysician, but... doesnt that x belong to the other side of the equasion?" he asked then, and Anvil immideately turned his head back to look over his writings. "Oh... drat. Yes, you are right. Absolutely."
Nicholas was happy. He was no expert on that stuff, but finally he had managed to impress the boss. Anvil took the x and placed it on the other side of the equasion. Now, he just was an assistant, but at least he was usefu... WHAT? Nicholas went wide eyes, what the f***? Jasper had grabbed the x, taken it ... off??? the wall? The chalk x? How could you take a chalk letter of the wall and hold it between your fingers... and then... place it on another place of the wall? It was chalk. Chalk. And Nick shook his head. He definately had had too much coffee. "Da- da- dadada... da letter..." he started, capable of closing his mouth again. "What? Have I made another mistake?" Anvil asked without turning around, rather casually voiced. "N-N-not really..." he answered. "You should drink less coffee, you sound like me if I would sound like you after too much coffee..." Jasper answered with a smile.
Nicholas decided to distract himself by studying the map. Two stick figure signs were symbols for him and Jasper, and the box with the C was their car. The second box with the dotted lines was the possible position of the kidnappers car. A third stick figure just passed behind him and Anvil, heading for the camp of blankets. And the clocks were symbolized by the circles. So well so f... "HUH?" Nick made. Why was there a third stick figure, and how could it... actually move? The chalk figure moved over the wall.
Nicholas took a few seconds to realize what that probably ment. Despite it being impossible. He turned around quickly and put a hand on his gun. A lady had apparently tried to sneak past them. "Ahem... can we help you, Miss?" he asked from behind the girls back. Japser looked up from his writings.

Mara has never been the type of girl who loved mathematics, formulas and that kind of stuff. not that she didn't see any use to it, of course, but even if she was the smart type, for her, it was rubbish. As better as chinese you could say. Or klingon, to refer to one of her favorite tv shows. Even if she knew for a fact how to speak klingon. Yes, she could kick ass and be a geek at the same time you know. But what she really relied on was her guts. Her intuition. Never it had failed her 'till this day on. That's why she was such a good cop and agent for Her Majesty. And a really efficient field officer now. It was dangerous, most of the time, but being a MI-5 was as dangerous when you think of it. Dealing with abnormals and all stuff related was as hard as dealing with terrorists and criminals. But she had to admit it was a lot more fun. And the boss was way much better.
She was thinking while spying on the two guys in the alley. What does she have for hints ? Electromagnetic disturbances, child abductions. A teleporter ? Like Druitt ? Hum, no, most unlikely, because even if when he teleports, the magnetic impulse wouldn't create such a mayhen that huge. She tried to search in her mind what kind of creature could do so. But she couldn't seem to find the reason why he was taking children. And to know more about it, she had to get closer to this little camp. She was nearly there when she heard a noise in her back. May be not something but then someone spoke. How could she'd been spotted ? That was really weird, and unexpected. And she decided to improvise. She left her hand from her gun and turn back. Being sure first she looked desperate. "My son, he ran away. We were going home, he saw the police car and run to it, and now I don't find him back. And...and I heard there was a child abducted here. Oh my god, and if he was abducted too ? I could never forgive myself! Help me please! " She hoped it would work, She made it convincing, at her best at least. Tears in her eyes, mumblng voice... The newbie asked the description of the so called son. She answered, inventing precise details to make it look real. She asked from him to search him in the others alleys, and he went there after she told him the boy was called Allan. Once he was gone, she asked herself how he could have found her here. Only a few options came to her mind. A third fellow was there, observing the scene from above, he was lucky, and third, he had help from someone, and she would bet it was an abnormal, because why else could he have find her so easily ? So, from deducing it the Ockham's Razor way. There were two men out there, the other one must be the abnormal. But she had no time to care about that now. She had a child to find back, and some clues to collect before the rookie came back, realizing he was mislead. So she look around, looking for her cellphone. She hadn't much time, but she could take some pictures at least, and follow the electromagnetic pulse. As long as she wasn't seen by the other men, she could be safe, he wouldn't find her back if he decided to find her in their files. Henry was good at that, making files disapear when they needed it. So now, she could do her job properly.

Jasper Anvil had turned around to listen to the lady that had just appeared. Poor woman. Her face was full of tears as she was wimpering about her boy she lost. Anvil sweared in thoughts, another abduction? That made the case more and less easy alike. Less, because now he had two children to seek, and more because two cases also ment more clues. Nick Holden reacted as he had been trained at academy, he immideately wrote down the details of the boy, and then rushed off to seek the child. Sometimes he was too eager, Jasper thought, he might get in trouble that way. Curiosity killed the cat, if it was not planning its steps ahead. For a moment, Jasper decided to help Nick with that search, but then, after having made two steps, he stopped. Wait a minute. Something is not right here. a voice sounded in the back of his mind. Jasper turned around again and watched the woman, who had just lost her kid. She was still standing there, not running around in panic or something. The son runs after the police car, and the lady thinks he was abducted? By the cops? Besides, why didnt she run after the car aswell? I have dealt with cases of corrupt cops, but still, something in this story stinks like a dead fish with 7 days old socks... if dead fish wore socks.
As Jasper stepped up top the lady, she had drawn her mobile phone and tried to make photos of the blanket. "You are a pretty good actress, Miss. I have seen many colleques who are ways worse than you are. My assistant believed your story, but it takes a bit more to convince me. But I would be quite happy if you told me why you are really here..." he started then. One hand on his belt, but otherwise in a rather relaxed pose, not really awaiting an attack or anything. "Jasper Anvil, P.I., currently working for the OCPD." he said, gesturing to the police badge he had on his trench coat. Stepping forward a bit, he looked down at the blankets then. "So, whoever funds you is after the boy aswell..." he concluded and crouched near the blankets, looking over them. "Despite the poor materials, its very well made. Id say its been here already for weeks, or the boy was rather expirienced in setting up such camps. I dont see anything to protect well from raining though..." he got up and looked around more.
This place had no cameras or anything else that could help determine on how the boy lived back here, so it was good old detectives work to get past this point. Jasper knew this alley, he had been here sometimes before, but because of other things. Mainly because... well, it probably was an idea to try that. But then again, with the foreign lady at hands, he was not sure what to do.

She could have been a good actress. A very good actress. That's what she thought after she saw the guy went in the adjoining alley to search for her non existent boy. She doesn't like to lie like this, using the pathos type, the tears and all that, but hey, she was just doing what she had to do to solve the case, avoiding in the same time to draw attention on her and the network. She had to find the abnormal before them, but for now, she couldn't find what it was, except he could jam electromagnetic fields to create such a mess with clocks and traffic lights. She got an idea then, she could track his signal with her phone, she had an device in her phone that could detect such massive disturbances. She was about to get it when she heard someone talking to her. The other P.I. Damn. But wait a minute, how could he know she was still there ? Definitively something here was going on, and not only with the abductor. She had to admit she was caught, but still not dead, so to speak. "I should try Broadway then. Guess I'd take much money there than my present wage. I'm just afraid I'd lost my soul to the Big City Lights you know..." He had spirit, that changed her from the usual cop, not really, how could you put it politely...gifted? Slow was more like it. But still, she couldn't tell him who she was, event if she sensed he was not really a threat of any kind.
She listened to him, as he elaborates his theories on his own. Pretty much, she agreed with him. Not really anything there to protect yourself from the rain, and with this blankets, he was nearly protected from the cold either. But still it was sort of a refuge she guessed. "I'm hired by one the child's parents. I'm no P.I. like you, but not really far from it though. Let's just say I handle things like this on a daily basis." Afterall, she wasn't really lying. She really was tracking abnormals on a daily basis, it was her job, and she was good at it. But this P.I. slowed her for now. But she had to get rid of him first before she could go hunting the abnormal with his signal. "But something is bugging me, and I need to ask. How could your partner have noticed I was there. I saw you two talking next to that wall. And I know my job, I hardly get noticed usually so...unless he was a X-men or something like that, I'm guessing he saw something on the wall, from what you draw..." She just wanted to saw his reaction, because sha was clearly suggesting he was not what he pretended to be. A mere P.I. So for know, they were on the same level. He was wondering why she was there, she was wondering what he really was. And now Mara was eagger to see how this will end. She just hoped it turned up in her favor...

Jasper Anvil never had any problems on teaming up. Not at all. In fact, more eyes, more minds, had a better chance of solving a case. Of course, if his teammate knew about his gifts, work would be quite smoothly. For this unknown and yet unnamed lady, that certain form of knowlenge did not apply, and threatened to slow him down instead. The Man leaned against a staple of crates as his gaze slowly trailed over Mara, trying to draw conclusions form anything she wore or did. basically there were two opions: She could be telling the truth, and there was also a child abductor around. mor she could be lying, as Jasper was after this case for another reason than mass child abduction. "Oh, believe me, there is nothing special to that. A healthy awareness of the surrounding is very important when you dive into crime like I do. To get some kind of information, you have to visit very bad places. Crime Pubs, Dump Yards and sometimes even a public bank. If you dont know what's going on behind your back... you can also visit the local cementry." he said then with a smile on his lips. In his eyes the lady definately was no P.I., or at least a very good actress again.
Mara's phone made no sound, just vibrated, when the requested information from Henry appeared on the screen. Jasper Horatio Anvil, 34 years, born in Edinburgh. Dr/PhD in Metaphysics. Private Investigator and Head of Investigations for FLAG, the Foundation of Law and Government. Specialized in tracking secret organisations that operate above the law, or hidden to the common eye. Specialized also in tracking socalled "paranormal" phenomenas around the world. Has recieved several awards for taking out the Soren Familiy. Dealt several blows against corruption. Recommendation: Caution advised!
Jasper put one foot on a crate and rested both his hands upon the knee, examining the scenery once again. "Okay. So for some unkown reason, a child sleeps in this primitive camp made of blankets. You cannot see it well from the streets, because the crates are in the way... maybe put up on intend as sight protection. So... whoever drove the black jeep must have exactly known where to search. The withnesses said, he stopped and went directly into the alley." he concluded and gestured around. "I dont see a hygenical way of storing food. In fact, I dont see any water or food at all. Since its very unlikely he could have been living without that, he most likely stole something. Maybe the local shopowners know more..." Having used the word unlikely was rather untypical for humans. Whenever they were confronted with such situations, they tended to use 'impossible'. As he used 'unlikely', he did not exclude the chance a boy could survive weeks without food. Did he know about abnormals? What were the paranormals he usually hunted after?

Teaming up was neither a problem for Mara, even though since she had been working for the network, the word "team" involved working with many different people all around the world. So most of the time, she liked to be on her own, far more efficient that way, on field. But she relied on the others for anything else. As for now on henry to provide him some information on that P.I. She felt her phone vibrating in her pocket. he was pretty quick getting her his file. And what she read from it helped her knowing who she had in front of her. "Strange but I believe you like to go to bars and all kind of places to get information. But once again, I'm not buying the all awarness thing. So can we settle that both of us aren't telling entirely the truth ?"
She was taking some risk there, admitting almost she was not telling the truth, but she knew for sure he wasn't telling it about his gift. She had to think, quickly. He deals with paranormal right ? This could be really tricky, and quite dangerous, could cost her big big trouble if her instinct betrayed her on this one, but she was sure she could trust him. "Can I trust you Dr. Anvil ? I need s straight answer, and yes, I know who you are. I guss you won't like it because you don't know anything about me, but in time, you would but just if you show me I can trust you. So, can I trust you Jasper ?" She looked at him straight in his eyes, even if he was still leaning on the floor. This had to work. It was crazy yes, really crazy, but he saw her, and she knew he would track her down after she'd left, so why not play every cards on the table right now ? It was quite a risky poker move there, but what was life without the thrill of danger ? Of course it was easier said than done this time, but she trusted her guts. He could help her as much as she could help him. To prove him she was not lying, she looked at the clocks and traffic lights. "I know why the clocks and the traffic lights went wacked. The child we're searching for is.... gifted, just like you are I think. He can create huge EM disturbances, and afterall, the children abduction mean just one thing, someone else is tracking the boy. And let me tell you one thing, you don't want them to get him before we do." Oh yeah, if what she was thinking was true, they could be in trouble if the goys after the little one find him first. Imagine what they can do with such an abnormal in their hands ? Bank robbery, infiltrate every national agencies database ou simply erase them completely... This would be...chaos, absolute chaos. She took her phone and dial Henry. "Hey dude, I need you to use the Force right now. Tell me you could connect yourself to the city network of traffic lights ? I've got a feeling." She bet the kid was still so nervous that he must jam the network, so if what she was thinking was true, they could track him down. But they had to be quick.

Jasper Anvil rose a brow as the lady did not believe what he said. The explanation had been rather convincing, at least he would have believed it, and that allowed two conclusions. Either the lady was good in her job, and triyng to coax information out of him, or she was bad in her job, because she did not know about being aware all the time in dangerous areas. Both points of view did not really satisfy Jasper at all. Then again, it was not really important. He just had to remember keeping a hand on his gun when they actually found the boy, there was something wrong about this girl, but he could not put a finger on it. "Dear Miss, being trustworthy to my clients is my job. And to possible collegues." he replied, stressing the 'possible', as he still did not completly believe her. A disbelief that magnified as she started talking about possible 'abilities' the boy might have. Which at least confirmed his doubts, she was searching for the same kid, not for any other possible hostages. And talking about such phenomenas so easily was surprising him alot. And despite her rather wrong sciritific explanation... "That fits with my own conclusions. It must be an unknown force that can influence electric circuits, but travels not faster than ten to fifteen meters per second. Based on the time the clocks had been showing, we can assume he was for some reason the source of that force." he said and took out his notebook, using his pen to write down those facts.
Finally his assistant returned, completly out of breath, and definately not silent. He did not only breathe hard, he surely fell over some of the trash bins, and looked slightly like one himself. "Didnt find anyone, boss" he said, putting his hands onto his knees, and breathing in a slightly crouched position. Jasper shook his head.
He noticed the lady talking into her mobile phone. "Okay, come on, Holden. We need to find some help from the allseeing eye..." he said then and walked out of the alley to a building on the other side of the road. "What, boss? The allseeing... oh... yea..." he uttered as he saw the letters on the entrance of that building. 'Drossler & Strangulinski, your friendly neighborhood bank'. "Good afternoon, Sir. I am Officer Anvil, and thats my partner Holden. We would like to have a look at the surveillance tapes of your ATMs, please..."
