- He came about his wealth from various illegal methods that his intelligence allowed him to get away with
- Adam seeks to gain as many allies (human and abnormal alike) as possible.

- Adam and Michael Winston had met some time back [timeline: prior to Breach]. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Adam never returned for Michael and the boy found his way into Magnus' Sanctuary. Now, [timeline: between Pax Romana and Into the Black] realizing a fondness for the young boy, Adam has tracked him down
