hello! my name is Az'! and i'm excited to be here (again, even though I did ask Magnus to delete the previous application I started with a different account. *insert sigh here*). I've been roleplaying since April 2006, even though as a French speaker native this would effectively be my first English speaking roleplay ever... Help me hide ? Life was smiling at us. And perhaps were we stupid, fooled by the mere presence of the other that was comforting us in chimerical certainties: we loved each other, we were happy, nothing could ever happen to us. Perhaps I shouldn't have been so naive and suspect that such a bliss was never meant to perdure. And it didn't matter that we grew up together, that we were different enough from the rest of the world to try and find solace in the unique aspect of what the other brought to us... Everybody we ever knew left, family, ... Even our own kind was now to be considered an endangered species. We were different and yet in that very difference were we so alike... and we survived. We lived together, fought adversity side by side and spent our days watching that close friendship morph into something more. Something that was even more unique than we were. But it's on the third anniversary of our union that both our lives changed forever.

Now that I come to think of it, I have never been able to describe precisely the few seconds that preceded the shock. The only thing that registered my mind was that dumb feeling of cold against my cheek, the sharp cut of shards that were sprayed on the ground were the windshield had shattered cutting into my skin where my body layed upon them. I was laid face down, my face on the road, eyes unfocused begging to fix on one specific point. On one specific person... You always need a couple minutes to compose your thoughts after such an event, to realized what happened to you and how serious it exactly is. Mine was clear as crystal: we just had an car accident. That thought only was enough to allow a sudden flow of panic take over me, repeating over and over the same thought in my head, like a mantra: where was my family?! I had to think for a second to remember that Kathryn, our daughter, was safe at a friend's house and that this evening was always meant to be just the two of us... The two of us. A moan of pain informed me right away of where Andrew was now lying, maybe 6m away from me. I had trouble twisting my head to rest my eyes on his silhouette, taking in his form, trying to realize just how hurt he was. I fought to catch his eyes, praying the gods out there to allow him to be okay. He had to be okay. He had to. The evening, our evening, was never supposed to end up like this.
